From the small village of Garbada in Dahod, Nisha Amarsinghbhai Rathod carried a dream close to her heart—to stand on her own feet and support her family with dignity. Growing up, she often wondered if such a dream was possible for a girl from a modest background.

Her turning point came when she learned from a friend about Ganpat University’s PMKVY Skill Hub Initiative, offering free training programs. For Nisha, it was nothing less than a doorway to her future. Since childhood, she had been fascinated with electrical work, and so she chose the Electrician – Domestic Solutions course.

At Ganpat University, she found not just training, but a nurturing environment that believed in her potential. The hands-on practical sessions became her favorite. She would often practice extra hours, determined to master every skill. With each circuit she connected, her confidence grew stronger.

In April 2024, her hard work bore fruit. Nisha was selected as an Operator Engineer at NBC Bearing, Savli, with a starting salary of ₹19,750 per month. Holding her first salary slip, she felt a surge of pride and tears of joy—she was now not only independent, but also the pillar of strength for her family.

With gratitude and determination, she says:
