In the small village of Paldi, Taluka Deesa, District Banaskantha, lived Desai Kamalaben Ishwarbhai, a young woman with dreams bigger than her circumstances. After completing her 12th standard, Kamalaben found herself confined to household chores, helping her mother and silently watching her aspirations fade. Her family’s financial struggles made it nearly impossible for her to continue her education, but deep within, she longed to stand on her own feet and support her loved ones.
One day, hope knocked on her door when she learned through her village Gram Panchayat about a free skill development program offered by Ganpat University under GLPC and the Government of Gujarat. She visited the training center with her father and realized that this was the chance she had been waiting for.
Kamalaben enrolled in the Consignment Booking Assistant trade. For the first time, she experienced an environment where learning, food, and accommodation were all taken care of. The supportive trainers and practical sessions gave her not only skills but also the confidence that she, too, could transform her life.
After completing her training, Kamalaben secured a job as a Warehouse Associate at PSN Supply Chain Solutions Pvt. Ltd. (Amazon Warehouse), Bavla, Ahmedabad, with a monthly salary of ₹15,000. Holding her first paycheck, she felt a surge of pride—she was no longer just helping her family at home, but now contributing financially to secure their future.
With folded hands and a grateful heart, Kamalaben says:
“Ganpat University, GLPC, and the Government of Gujarat gave me the strength to become self-reliant. Today, I can proudly say that I am not only supporting my family but also inspiring other girls from my village to dream beyond limits.”
Her journey from the corners of her home to the vast floor of an Amazon warehouse stands as a shining example of how education, opportunity, and determination can change lives forever.
