A PadmaShri awardee (2019),Shri Ganpatbhai I. Patelholds an Electrical Engineering degree from Cal Poly Pomona (1969) and a master’s from UCLA (1973). After a distinguished career in the US tech & power supply industry, he returned to India to establish Ganpat University—guided by the motto "Social Upliftment through Education". His deep-rooted commitment to philanthropy and education stems from a belief in nurturing future generations from humble beginnings.
Since 2015, Dr. Sharma has led GUNI's academic and executive strategy. A Ph.D. in Consumer Behaviour, he has over 25 years of experience in strategic education management—including launching international conferences and industry-aligned MBA programs. He champions Digital India, NEP 2020, AI-enabled learning, and a "Student-First" philosophy that drives GUNICare’s programs.
